WEEKEND WAS A POPIAH PARTY!
my mum had invited her nurses to lunch,
but of course they had to make their own :D
(my dad suggested sushi for the next gathering)
woke up on saturday morning to a mountain of tougay to peel :(
consolation was the fact that at least my mum or maid didnt have to do it themselves.
caught a bit of babe (the pig) on tv.
the animals are soooooooo cute,
and the scenery!
the animation of the animals talking was way much better than garfield.
peeled prawns for our own lunch,
purposely operated on them to remove that black line thingy my sister hates,
and then she didnt eat the prawns :((((
so anyway, nurses arrive!
my mum took the chance to introduce them to her hubby.
popiah is super fun to make.

they left around 5,
and there was still alot of food left,
so my mum called her sister and her husband down ;x
wonder if next time i can anyhow call my sister like that.
anyway my sister was out,
and we went to pick her from the station in a lorry!
my uncle drives a lorry.
SUPER FUN!

good thing my dad remember all his gear things.
bluffed my sister say she must sit at the back.
someday i want to do that,
but its illegal no?
unless i hide in a basket?
next day,
my dad dropped my mum off for her dance class,
then we went to ntuc to while away one hour.
i like to pick up the most random things.
and then we had cornelius and his family over!
to, what else, eat popiah.
we were totally pushing all the food and fruits to them, lol.
AND VERY EXCITING!
this december we may be holiday-ing together!
first we'll be going to shanghai then suzhou,
stay in their apartment,
then we'll train up to tianjin,
where they'll stay in our apartment.
HEH HEH. FUN STUFF.
going to eat crab at amk with them on thursday!
sooooo amazing.
our parents knew each other because we went to the same kindergarten.
and we always played at the void deck,
so the parents made friends.
even now at NAFAk,
some parents all one gang one.
"oh my child today going home with so-and-so"
very cute one.
it was quite funny,
all of us adults and children alike sitting around the table,
like.. not "parents-only" discussions that kind.
the last holiday we went together was what?
i think malaysia,
but they said it was ice-skating at jurong -_-
after that they left 'cos they had tickets to the F1 race.
(some of the kindergarten kids had tickets too,
or their parents had booked hotel rooms already.
tsktsk. so young so lucky)
not bad luh, caught the starting on tv.
its really loud huh.
can see them flying over the roads,
super cute, like toy cars ;x
okay my F1 knowledge is quite limited.
was fun hearing praise pour in for singapore :)
very exciting + sad, the fuel pump still in the car thing.

went to do our grocery shopping!

anyway, it didnt occur to us to take a basket.
in the end each of us were holding an item.
and kael was super excited that she was a member or something.

stoned in kfc awhile waiting for the explorer to arrive.
then after that it was.. BAKING TIMEZXZXZX!
cracking egg, is so fun.

okay, so we cheated and bought the pre-mix.
it smells goooooood!
we're going to pour the mix in nao!
apparently lab sessions come in quite handy.
and i tortally forgot all that jazz about the meniscus (sp?).

so after adding the eggs, oil and water,
and then having fun unleashing our violent sides,
we were like, "huh, that's it?"

resulted in some weird shapes,

may i add that we were kind of cooking our brain cells too.

my mum and i had to read the manual.
miko couldnt be bothered.
okay, obviously we didnt really just stoned in front of the oven.

but what-the-heck,
went to play bridge instead.
bridge was damn funny.

and then we sat around talking until 11+.
felt so like a sleepover.
they went home then.
felt a little guilty how these stuff always take place at my home,
so i dont need to make my way back.

anyway had a poor night's sleep last night.
had nightmares, something about fighting with my sister who became florence D;
and also my sister had some impromptu sleepover
and they were having a private party in the bathroom.
not on purpose luh,
just that our rooms not soundproof,
and im a super light sleeper.
have you heard of the smoke alarm for the deaf in japan?
when smoke is detected,
the alarm releases some smell of wasibi.
WASIBI!
some really light sleepers woke up within 10seconds.

you'd be surprised to know that it was difficult finding paper lanterns,
and even difficult-er finding sparklers.
